About our Speakers:
Sean Kenney: MassMEC
For the past 10 years, Sean Kenney has led the business development team at EarlyBird Power, advising businesses on how to maximize the value of their energy spend and meet sustainability objectives.
In 2015, EarlyBird Power was competitively selected by MassDevelopment, the State’s finance and development agency, to lead the Massachusetts Manufacturing Energy Collaborative (MassMEC) – an electricity and natural gas group-purchasing program that enables manufacturers and other businesses to secure the lowest available rates by leveraging the competitive market. More than 275 businesses have joined MassMEC, and together, they have saved more than $6M dollars on their energy costs over utility rates.
In addition to providing best practice, competitive procurement of electricity and natural gas supply, Mr. Kenney helps companies leverage available incentives for energy efficiency upgrades, proactively reduce demand and capacity charges, and evaluate onsite solar generation and battery storage. In short, to spend less, use less, and go green.
