Description

In connection with Holocaust Remembrance Day, Julie Masis, a Haverhill-based author of a new book called "How My Grandfather Stole a Shoe and Survived the Holocaust in Ukraine", will be giving a presentation about her book at the Nevins Library in Methuen on January 22th. The book is about Julie's grandfather, who survived the Holocaust under Romanian occupation, fought in the Red Army, and later immigrated to Massachusetts, where he lived to be 102 years old.
