"Isaiah Thomas" Reading of the Declaration of Independence

Saturday, June 18 at 1:00PM. Join us for a public reading of the Declaration of Independence with printer Isaiah Thomas at the Museum of Printing, Haverhill, MA. Free with museum admission. 250 years ago in July, Isaiah Thomas, patriot printer of the Massachusetts Spy, read the Declaration for the first time in Massachusetts in Worcester. Portrayed by MOP's Andy Volpe, who will read from an exact replica print of the document. He will also have on display replicas of several versions of the Declaration, including the replica wooden common press that printed it (on loan from the Printing Office of Edes & Gill.)
