The House of the Seven Gables

The House of the Seven Gables is a historic non-profit in Salem, Massachusetts. We offer guided tours of the historic mansion all-year round. The museum was opened in 1910 originally as a Settlement House to help Eastern European immigrants coming to America. We still act as the Settlement Association and proceeds from admissions and the museum keep our site running. Tours also discuss Salem's maritime history and literary connection to Nathaniel Hawthorne. Volunteer Ambassadors would assist our guests with information about the site, making sure people are where they need to be, and checking tickets,
